Wines I love - Blackstone 2002 Dolcetto North Coast What the label says: Dolcetto originates from the Piedmont region of Northwest Italy. Blackstone North Coast Dolcetto is sourced from grapes grown in tow of California's best-known wine regions. This delightfully fruit-forward wine showcases bright floral and red fruit flavors. Blackstone North Coast Dolcetto is the perfect match with a wide variety of food. Its light tannins and vibrant fruit makes it a perfect pair with ravioli in cream sauce. Chicken Picatta or even burgers on the grill!. - Dennis Hill Winemaker |

| Why I like this wine: The shortest description I can give is a great red zinfandel without the tannins. This wine is smooth! Even people who are new to wines would find this to be a very agreeable wine. Experienced wine drinkers won't scoff either. The rich flavor keeps the sophistication even though the tannins are so mild. We took their advice and made some great mushroom swiss burgers and had this bottle with those. Truthfully in this case the wine was so great pairing wasn't necessary at all. Unfortunately I got this bottle in a wine club order so I only had the one. This is one bottle I'll pick up when I visit the winery. Tastes like it should cost $50.00 but doesn't. | ||
